I had one of the best days EVER!  John and I met Steve Sjogren (http://www.kindness.com/) for lunch in Tampa today!  We had over 2 hours to talk to an amazing godly man!  I feel sooo blessed and inspired.  Steve has done so much for our Lord's Kingdom and he is as kind and humble as can be.  Steve may very well be one of the greatest evangelists of our time! He prayed for us at the end and the Holy Spirit was SO powerfully present!  A really special day.....

Sundays are definitely my favorite day of the week for sure!  We had an awesome worship service today.  Definitely not as big a crowd as last week, but it was pretty great just the same!  We had a few visitors which we seem to have every single week. 

After church, my husband had to go to work so John, Jen, Barb and I drove out to Canadaigua Lake and took a long walk and then had a great dinner overlooking the lake.  It was awesome.  I LOVE Sundays!

My husband just left to meet Sam over at Julie's house to see if they can fix her leaky plumbing.  Neither of them are plumbers.  But both of them have a servant's heart and want to share the Love of Christ by helping out another person in need.

They are both heroes of God in my book. 

Recently, Steve Sjogren went to visit my brother in Florida and share the Gospel with him.  Steve is a pastor, a best selling author and an amazing man of God.  He's famous guy in many circles.  But he was caring and gracious enough to make the time to help out another person in need.  "Every soul counts" he said to me.

Steve wrote a book called "The Conspiracy of Kindness."  This world definitely needs a whole lot more kindness in it.  It's so simple to do. And yet such a powerful way to show the love of Christ in action.

Let's all challenge ourselves this week to do random acts of kindness in Jesus' name.  Pay for the person's coffee in the line behind you.  Send someone a kind note and thank them for something.  Rake a neigbor's lawn.  Be extra kind to the strangers you meet every day. Go out of your way to help someone at your church.  Bring one of your coworkers a thoughtful little gift. 

Do it all for Jesus and make someone's life a little bit better!

I once heard a pastor say, if you were to be put on trial, would there be enough evidence and witnesses to prove that you are indeed a Christian?

We can not follow Jesus unless we deny our selfishness first.

We all have a cross to carry.

The Goodnews Bible says, If anyone will come with me he must forget himself. The way of God, the way to life, the way to greatness in the sight of God is the way of the cross.

The cross is the denial of our self-centeredness.  Carrying the cross means we must die to leading self-centered lives and instead seek to live Christ-centered lives.

It's not easy to die to our selfish desires.  It's not easy to put living for Christ at the center of our daily lives.  How do we do this?

We love God by loving others.  We treat other people like they are more important than ourselves.  We dedicate ourselves to supporting the Body of Christ (the local church) with our time, talents and resources.

We forgive those who have trespassed against us.

We put God's will for our lives ahead of our own agenda.

We follow Jesus.  We Love Him by obeying His teachings. 

That is how we carry our cross every day.  We spend time in worship with God AND His people!  Yeah, you need to belong to HIS church!  No excuses.  No whining.  No pointing fingers and blaming the church for why you don't go.  Just find one and commit yourself to the family of God. Do it for the LOVE of God.

Let the world see the evidence of your faith as a true Christ follower.  Pick up your cross and FOLLOW Jesus to church this Sunday.

Easter is the perfect time for new beginnings with God!  Want to know how to get a better life?  Follow Jesus!  It's the ONLY WAY to get to heaven!
