Today was a different kind of day. I sang & played a song at a funeral service--"This Road" by Jars of Clay. It was for Barb C's mother. It's the same song I played in the same chapel 2 years ago at my great uncle's funeral.
I also did a lot of stuff for the wedding. Jen came with me to pick out the Tux. I'm not sure if fiancées are supposed to come along but I needed her so I wouldn't pick out colors that clashed with the bridesmaids (who by the way had their dresses picked out 10 years ago, jk).
It's strange thinking about a wedding and a funeral all in one day. It's like their opposites. One is a beginning, the other is an end. But I guess funerals aren't ends, they're beginnings--the beginning of an eternal spiritual destiny in (for hopefully most of us) heaven.
