God's Timing
God's timing isn't always our timing.
I've been trying to plant tomatoes from seeds (something I haven't tried before). I chose the right soil, planted the seeds as deep as they are supposed to be planted and watered the soil. Yet the seeds did not grow in the time they should have.
I was so frustrated by this that I gave up on the plants. I stopped watering them and started thinking of other ways I could use the soil.
Suddenly, to my astonishment, the seeds have started to grow!
It's a gentle reminder that God's timing is not always our timing. Sometimes God's timing happens more slowly than we'd expect and sometimes it happens more quickly than we'd expect.
1 Corinthians 3:7 says:
"So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow."
