I try to make my first thoughts of each morning a dedication. To say, “Lord, today is all about You. I thank you for creating another day. I’m dedicating it for you. It’s all for you. Everything I do today.” Start your day off with a dedication like that, and you might not even need Starbucks.

You may be married and know Jesus, but if Jesus isn’t lord over your marriage, if He isn’t your greatest priority, then your marriage doesn’t have a solid foundation. Jen and I pray together every single day that God would help us to put Him first, even before each other. It makes a huge difference.

God and His kingdom need to come before our spouses, before our children, before our boyfriend or girlfriend, before school, before work, before health, before money, before sports, before our dreams…
