Happy Valentine's Day!

John and I just got home from taking a 24 hour vacation.  We left around noon yesterday and drove down to Ithaca, NY. We stopped at a few of the state parks located down there.  Even though it was a bit cold, we bundled up and took long, refreshing walks in the woods with our dog, Jonah.  It was beautiful!  They have many beautiful waterfalls down that way--not far from Watkins Glen.


God's creation is the most incredible beauty on earth.  I always feel so close to Him in nature and in marveling at all that His hand has created.  How can people not look at the beauty in the world and say, "WOW....God is Amazing!"



Rick Warren is RIGHT...life is like two tracks on a railroad....one rail is the good in your life and one rail represents your problems.  Both are happening at the same time.  There are always problems and troubles to work through, but there is also ALWAYS good things to find to be thankful for and to rejoice over!

I rejoice that God is good and that all things work for God for those who love God (Romans 8:28).



I also rejoice because I am blessed with a wonderful husband.  After being married for almost 29 years and being together for 35 years, I'm still enjoying romantic get-a-ways and close, intimate moments with him!  It isn't always perfect between us, but it is always sooooo worth the work of making our marriage a loving one every day we're together!

Few people these days get to know the joy of being with someone for so long.  We've been through so much together through the years and we've stuck together and become stronger because of it!  Thanks be to God!  He has a plan for marriage!  He has a plan for each one of us if we will only follow His plan for life!
