I've had a nasty cold for a week now & being sick sure makes you remember how great it is to simply feel good.  Too bad we take that for granted so much.

Despite all that, it's been a great week for BHCC.  We had an awesome time of worship Sunday followed by what may be the absolute all-time best Christmas party we've ever had! EVERYONE who came said they had an amazing time!  I was happy to see so many of our new people attend and we were very packed but that just made it more fun.

Barb had much to do with making it the great success it was....The games we played were entertaining and fun!  Everyone loved winning their Blessed Hope bucks and then bidding on various prizes.  There was so much laughter all day long!  But I also loved the holy hush moment when we all sang "Silent Night."

The chili was a big WOW as well!  Congratulations to Traye for winning first place in the Chili-cooking contest!  Guess those Texans really do know how to make chili!

It's exciting to me to see all that God has done and continues to do at BHCC.  We have grown by almost 30 people in the last four months!  That's pretty amazing growth.  Already, I can not imagine our church without them! We have several people recently who have found salvation in Christ through BHCC & have requested baptism.  We are planning to rent a pool in February 2009 & have our second baptism celebration in less than a year.  God is with us!

We believe God is calling a few new people to be on our Lead Team.  We're praying and you will all hear more soon.  At the end of January, we will be having a 'vision-casting dinner.'  The pastors and leaders will share where we feel God is leading our church in the near future.  We are excited!

Keep praying for BHCC!  Keep telling your friends, coworkers and family about us!  Invite them to come this Christmas season and experience Immanuel---"God is with Us!"
