BHCC is a busy, exciting place these days! I feel this huge spiritual momentum moving through our church like a massive wave of energy! The only explanation is that God is on the move in monumental ways at BHCC!
Here's a brief description of some of what's happening:
The
Young Adult Ministry is about to launch in a bigger way than ever at BHCC! It will begin with a big bowling event on Sunday, Jan. 27th at 6:30pm. Following this event, the Young Adults will continue to meet twice a month for bible study, fun events & serving the Lord opportunities. I can't wait to see all that God will do with this ministry!
Our
Wed. night Bible study continues to grow! Last night we had 15 people there & it's exciting to see new people keep coming. We had some great laughs last night as well as some holy hush kind of moments. I love this new study, "The Art of Spiritual Listening."
Today I'm meeting with Pastor Jeff & Sherri Orr to plan our upcoming Marriage Builders Seminar on Saturday, March 8th. Jeff & Sherri have been married for over 17 years & are still as much in love today (if not more) as when they first met. Sherri is also a certified counselor so both will bring great things to this seminar. John and I will be leading it as well. We've been married 27 years & have learned a few things in that time.
A week ago Sunday, Robert graduated from the
Open Door Mission Drug Program & has become a completely brand new person! I smile every time I think of him!
The Friday night
Mosaic Cafe ministry continues to be a huge success in every way! The feedback we've had from people outside the church has been tremendous. We have anywhere from 25-65 people there every week. People are thrilled to have a place like Mosaic to go to & hang out! I make new friends every single week!
Very soon we will be starting up a women's ministry at BHCC. Our plan is to have bi-monthly Saturday breakfast's at the Mosaic Cafe with music & a speaker each time. I know this will be a huge success! We're already planning on attending the Women of Faith Conference in June of this year.
We're also thinking of doing a local version of the Avon walk for breast cancer.
Barb Robinson, a member of our leadership team at BHCC will be walking in Washington DC in the Spring of this year. We all know so many women who have had breast cancer. This is a great way for all of us to show them how much we care!
Very soon, BHCC will be launching more I-Groups. I-Groups are small groups but we like the name I-Groups much better. The "I" stands for "Impact."
Our
Sunday worship team continues to get better and better! We are incredibly blessed to have such gifted musicians on the team! We've been getting lots and lots of positive feedback about the music lately. It really feels so anointed & worship-filled!
Whew---God has brought BHCC a long way in a short time! Our weekly attendance has doubled since we became the
Church at Movies in April of 2007! We're just in a much more visible location & we have many people who now come because they saw the sign. The advertising we've done on
102.7 has helped as well. I can't wait to see all that God will do at BHCC in 2008! We've only just begun........
Thanks be to our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ! To Him be the GLORY forever and ever! Amen!
Because He Lives,
Pastor Lin
