Spring may not be in the air yet, but it's in my heart!
Maybe it's the sunshine - or better yet - the SONshine! After a month of January lagging attendance due to very cold weather and a horrific flu season - it's exciting to see our attendance begin to flourish again and have so many first time visitors! Not only that - but many people are coming back every week! For some reason, we had a surge of visitors in 2017 and have retained MANY as part of our family! We gained about 35 new family members last year!
God is moving in exciting ways! Twelve people have taken our 101 class recently and officially became members of the BHCC family! (Including 6 of our Heritage Home members.) Several people have asked to be baptized!
Our newest small group, BHCC Community Connection, enjoyed an awesome dinner out recently with 10 people attending. Our Wed. night Bible study has 17 people in attendance. The Sat. bi-monthly women's group has been packed and is doing a study on how to study the Bible. There is so much that is happening & too much to put here.God is on the move!
The worship team keeps growing as well with many new members sharing their gifts with us! Our other serving teams are thriving as well. The Outreach Team is about to do a Food distribution (in cooperation with Food Link) at Philip's Village on Sat. April 14th. And we also have a Soccer Event on Sunday, April 7th. And don't forget the women's breakfast with author and speaker, Greta Brokaw on Sat., May 12th. So many wonderful opportunities to get plugged in, make new friends and grow closer to God!
God is blessing our church and we continue to thrive and grow! I am so proud of our church and the MANY hard-working volunteers that give so much of themselves to serve God and His people here! God is clearly smiling at us! And in many ways - we've only just begun! 2018 promises to be a year of much fruitfulness for the Kingdom of God at BHCC!
