Life feels so good right now.

There are special times in our lives where it feels like everything is going right. Few and far between, but it does happen. :-) I feel blessed to be experiencing just such a season in my life.

"It's time for healing...."

Those are the beginning words to the worship song we're going to do immediately after the message today.  The title of our new series is "SCARS."  (Thanks Mark Batterson for the idea.)

The stories seem to be increasing.

More and more people losing their jobs.  Many others who live in constant fear of losing their jobs.  People's retirement funds dwindling.  We all wonder, when are things going to change?  Have we hit bottom yet?

I am just so in awe of all God is doing at BHCC and beyond!  This has been an incredible weekend of victory for our Lord!

We had record attendance yesterday!  Our Sunday worship attendance has doubled since we first moved our worship services to the theater in 2007!!!

Feb. 19, 2009 I absolutely LOVE this quote by Rick Warren: "I used to think that life was hills and valleys - you go through a dark time, then you got to the mountaintop, back and forth. I don't believe that anymore. Rather than life being hills and valleys

Happy Valentine's Day!

John and I just got home from taking a 24 hour vacation.  We left around noon yesterday and drove down to Ithaca, NY. We stopped at a few of the state parks located down there.  Even though it was a bit cold, we bundled up and took long, refreshing walks in the woods with our dog, Jonah.  It was beautiful!  They have many beautiful waterfalls down that way--not far from Watkins Glen.

I continue to pray for my brother who was in and out of the hospital again this week.  He and my mother have been on a long, difficult journey the last few years.

There's quite a few people in our church that I am praying much for.  I sense the spiritual battles that they are in..... I don't think most people have any idea how much burden their pastors carry for them or how much we love and pray for them.
